She lives with a super dog named Lucy who is a chocolate Labrador. You can find Lucy and her walking beautiful beaches all over Kauai. In her first job she worked as an assistant editor for a Chinese language magazine. She wrote about people from all walks of life including artists, fashion designers, musicians, politicians and diplomats. Yoyo Ma, The Vienna Boys’ Choir and many wives of ambassadors were all her subjects. She is a registered Mandarin/English court interpreter registered in the Judiciary System of Hawaii. Winnie Lu came to this country as a foreign student at the University of Minnesota. She studied child psychology, journalism and speech communication. She was fully immersed in the Minnesota life style. Her activities included cross country skiing, ice fishing, fly fishing, hunting, canoeing, camping in the snow, cross country skiing, snow shoeing, hunting, trapping mink and growing a garden. After seeing the first rainbow in Hawaii she moved here and started a real estate career. She is involved in several community service organizations. She is a long time yoga practitioner and was a volunteer yoga instructor for ten years for Kapaa senior citizens. Her current hobbies are swimming, knitting socks, gardening, Chinese calligraphy, reading and writing. |
